But, surely it isn't feces in the traditional sense. After all, the Koroks are...well, forest spirits. I doubt they have a digestive tract in the same way that most creatures do. Unless we know even less about them than I thought... If so, they must eat, or otherwise, somehow, convert something more non-traditional into energy. Did they refer to it as "poop," or are you making assumptions based on what you've learned spending so much time with them? Will you teach me?

Was that the only reason? It does smell, you're right, but there are a lot of things in nature that are said to have a similarly unpleasant odor. It could be that Korok seeds are somehow sulfuric. I imagine you might find a similar experience around the peak of Death Mountain.

Not the strangest thing, Princess. They don't normally talk to people. We're the only two that can see them since maybe forever. What's commonplace for them is different from what you and I are used to. I don't think they realize what they're doing is odd outside of the Great Forest. Hestu uses them for his maracas, and it's his prize when he wins Hide and Seek. That's their game.
Since we've found them, it's the same prize as what they give Hestu.
[ He'll hear no complaints from her. In fact, she'd be more than excited to travel across all of Hyrule with him, and to hear all of his stories.

That sounds wonderful. I hope I can see it someday.

I want to see it all. What are some of your favorite places? Besides the one we're speaking of, I mean.
[ It's somehow so odd and funny to imagine Link snoozing away inside the mouth of the snoozing Deku Tree, and so she laughs in picturing it. Odd, funny, and very endearing. ]

THERE IT IS SHE DID IT
A seed?
HEH
Well, the Korok vanished. The seed didn't.

The seed is poop.

No.

Hestu gave me one too as a reward for finding all the Koroks. I'll show you.
I didn't want to.

It's just so strange.

And: if that's what it is, why give it to you?
Do they find it funny? That seems possible, since they like these little games so much.

I'm grateful to be able to see them.
I don't expect them to be like us. I just have so much to learn.
What is Hestu like?
no subject
Big. Has a catchphrase. Shalaka!
He loves to dance. I have some seeds to give him, so you two can dance together when he puts them in his maracas.
no subject
[ Oh. Oh, no. This sounds so cute. ]
I would love that.
He doesn't leave the Great Forest as the others do?
no subject
[ but also, yes ]
He leaves. I first found him at a stable. They all prefer the forest, though. It's safe there.
no subject
[ The Great Forest is perhaps the safest place she can think of. There's a reason the Master Sword slumbers there, heals there. ]
Of course.
It's a very beautiful place, and peaceful.

[ exciting, yeah. a beautiful place, yeah. ]
I'd live there, too. Pepp always has a bed ready and Oaki has decorated a nice place in the Deku Tree's mouth.

Pretty cozy.
There's a bed with a blanket made of leaf. Silent Princess and Nightshade are all over. Two Brightbloom seeds light up the area.
Oaki gave me some fabric. I want to lay it down as a rug in there. It was his idea, but he gave it to me as thanks for bringing him the flowers.

He naps most of the time. He doesn't mind much.
There's a store inside of him, too. Daz runs it, but Natie has mushrooms.
